"Fontaine-Henry’s Gourmet Castle"

An exceptional event was organized by the Fontaine-Henry Renaissance association in 1999, one which is remembered by all.
11,000 visitors came over one single weekend, to enjoy the extraordinary revolving “professional advice-demonstration-tasting” of 24 great Norman chefs, hosted by Michel BRUNEAU under the patronage of Pierre Gagnaire (…) and with the enlightening commentary of Michel DELAUNEY. The event was to finish with a dinner made by all these renowned chefs, with as many starters, main courses and desserts as chefs, and with the Soloist orchestra of the Manche department who performed throughout the dinner.

Cuisiniers en herbe
Chef’s hats and uniform jackets were sold in favour of “Perce-neige”, an association that helps mentally handicapped children, all in the presence of Christophe LASSERRE-VENTURA, the grandson of the founder of the association Lino VENTURA, and of the renowned chef and restaurant owner LASSERRE. In the meantime, a shrubby rose tree was named after another of our distinguished guests, the quadruple winner of the Prix d’Amérique, OURASI !
