Patronage

Since December 2007, a Law enables private monuments to turn to patronage, and allows for tax deductions. Because this Law is recent, its mode of enforcement is yet to be discovered. In the long run anyhow, no building still in the hands of its historical owners will be able to go without resorting to it. The Anglo-Saxon world is familiar with this practice, which now enters French culture. Being the first tourist destination in the world implies our need to get round to it, our aura of excellence being here at stake.
