Petit Salon

The inside tour of Fontaine Henry enables the visitor to admire a fine sample selection of French furniture, which covers the Renaissance, and the reigns of Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI. Chinaware, silverware, as well as poignant heirlooms dating back to Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette can also be seen.

Grand Salon

Fontaine-Henry’s painting collection is renowned, with works from artists such as Rubens, Correggio, Titian, Rigaud, Mignard, Hubert, Robert, Larguillière and many more...

Salle à manger

An outstanding collection of engravings by van der Meulen, on a par with those of the Grand Trianon, must also be mentioned.

Ever since the early 19th century at Fontaine-Henry castle, this portrait made by Hyacinthe RIGAUD of her mother, Maria Serra, has been part of a collection of which most of the other pieces are kept at the Louvre Museum. This painting was lent to the city of Perpignan on the 350th anniversary of the painter’s birth and of the signing of the Peace of the Pyrenees between France and Spain. It was presented at the Hyacinthe Rigaud Fine Arts Museum in Perpignan from June 23 to September 30, 2009, as part of the “private Hyacinthe Rigaud” exhibition. Other works by Rigaud adorn the walls of Fontaine-Henry’s Castle drawing-rooms.
